Furthermore, the participation of spokespeople in these spaces generates positive impacts for companies, contributes to reputation building, and positions them as go-to sources of information in journalists' minds.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, in the country, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism brings together different categories such as events, concerts, business meetings, and tourism, a sector of the economy that mobilizes more than 15 trillion pesos of the Gross Domestic Product.<\/p>\n<p>Communications agencies are an active part of this economic movement, and their participation is important for clients, which is why it's crucial to have a very clear understanding of how to act during an event and what our role is as a strategic ally. From GJ Comunicaciones, we have prepared the following recommendations to improve event coverage.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Update our media contacts and segment them by source type. This would allow us to identify them in advance to contact them as soon as possible. Management should begin with enough time and allow us to credit the journalists.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Invite journalists to experience the brands firsthand and foster relationships during a day of diverse activities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Having spokespeople available to give interviews during events is crucial for generating media impact. This action allows us to connect with journalists and make their participation fruitful during the event.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Inputs such as press releases, images, audio, and videos must be available and readily accessible to share with the media. On many occasions, journalists prefer to have all materials ready in order to meet the deadlines that media outlets operate under.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>During the event, the people covering it must have a space available for interviews and it must include: internet, electricity, snacks, and water. This space should be well-organized and have the necessary privacy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Successfully implementing these recommendations will help us achieve successful coverage.
